Frequently Asked Questions
A nitrous oxide cylinder is a pressurized canister filled with nitrous oxide (N₂O), designed for culinary use. When connected to a cream dispenser or used with a rapid infusion machine, the gas is released to quickly pressurize the contents. This process transforms liquids into light, airy textures or rapidly infuses them with intense flavours. Large 640g canisters are ideal for professional and high-volume use, delivering efficient and consistent results across a wide range of applications. From whipping cream for desserts, to creating smooth culinary foams and espumas, to infusing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, oils, or vinegars — these chargers help chefs, bartenders, and mixologists push creative boundaries with ease.
Using with a dispenser
To use a nitrous oxide cylinder with a cream dispenser, begin by securely connecting the cylinder to the dispenser using a pressure regulator. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent any leaks. Unscrew the lid of the dispenser and fill it with your desired liquid, making sure not to exceed the indicated fill line, then reseal the lid firmly.
Once the dispenser is ready, slowly open the pressure regulator valve and adjust it carefully until the gauge reaches 20 bar. Close the valve to lock in the pressure. Open the filling hose valve to release the nitrous oxide into the dispenser and allow the gas to flow for approximately 30 seconds, or until the sound inside the dispenser begins to fade. When the flow slows down, close the filling hose valve.
Disconnect the hose from the dispenser and shake the dispenser gently for a few seconds to ensure proper mixing. Finally, point the nozzle towards your glass or dish and press the trigger to dispense the whipped or infused contents.
Using with a rapid infusion machine
To infuse flavours using a rapid infusion machine, start by securely attaching the nitrous oxide cylinder to the machine. Add your chosen liquid, such as a spirit or beverage, along with any flavouring ingredients, making sure there are no solids or large particles. Seal the machine tightly and activate it to begin the infusion process.Once the infusion is complete, carefully vent the pressure and strain out any remaining solids. The result will be a rapidly infused liquid, ready to serve.

Firstly, we recommend you make sure the canisters are 100% empty. You should use the safe disposal nozzle which comes with your cylinder to empty excess gas.
For 8g cream chargers, we recommend checking the tip of the cream charger to make sure it is fully pierced. running the empty charger underwater to make sure all gas is removed is also recommended.
After this step has been taken, you can recycle the steel canister via your local recycling point.
